I have been told that my vp44 is going bad and I was wondering with other peoples trucks what kind of stuff was going on to hint to them that there vp44 was going south.

Mine cutts out and there is no drop in fuel pressure. It will sometimes kill it self when at a idle doesn't madder if it is cold or a warm start. will cut out going down the road. When pulling a load some times you can watch your boost and see move up and down when you are under power and it sounds like a buntch of little turbo barks. Then where is the best place to buy one just incase I need one.

thanks

you might want to PM "Blue-Beast" Drew Wentworth. Yesterday we towed his truck back from deep into ohio to Michigan since his wonderful VP-44 went bad. And today we put a new one on it, adjusted the valves..... and added a few toys :)

Its not a smoking SOB & sets you back into the seat!!!!!!

First I would rule a few things out...

Check for codes!

Check and clean/tighten ALL of your ground connections.

Check your voltages at the APPS...
