Badge for helping a member ont he road

Just whipped out the Travel Companion and noticed that if you help someone on the road you get a badge???

Don't you have to be listed in the travel companion to be on call to get this recognition? And then the person that got helped send a letter of gratidude etc, to the TDR adminastration, and for the recognition, to come back to you??????

If not, then they would have a deludge of request for the companion badge.

That would be great. Glad that you are listed, now I know who to call. Now hopefully Mr. watson has sent his apprechation letter to the office of the TDR folks, and thus you get your reward. Those badges look great.
