Badging... and removing them....

are they all stuck on? or are they bolted on like older trucks?



if stck on does a head knife do the trick? i wanna remove all the badginf on my truck. this way not to many people can tell its a 3500...

keep the knife away from the paint!!!! Use some fishing line then peel the tape off. The tape is GOOOOOOOOODDD stuff and will come off harder the longer you wait (not so much days but months/years)



If your going to pitch the badges let me know!! Ill gladly take em off your hands

I wish they would replace the badging with decals. It's a big pain trying to wash and wax inside and around them (sides and tailgate).

GWBourne - get yourself a heat gun or hairdryer and some fishing line. Heat up the badge and then slide the line behind it, it will come off instantly.



As for the residue that's left behind, it's stronger than your average sticker glue. Get a can of 3m adhesive remover, it's amazing stuff. wd, goo gone, or the likes aren't strong enough. 3m wont hurt your paint, just spray it on , wait a min, and it will wipe off. .

they are just glued on with the 3m double stick stuff [or they were glued on i should say ] no pin holes behind them like the fords got...

A funny thing happened to my X on my tail gate. I set a bottle of Snapple on the bumper right below the X, of coarse I opened the tail gate. The top of the bottle sheared the X off perfectly without damaging anything.

:-laf HA, I picked up the X from the ground and took a look at it and said to my self, I don't want anything to do with my X, either this one or the one that cost me a whole lot more :-{} , so it never was stuck back on.

Oh by the way, I will take your 0's from your doors. I will ad them to my doors so I can have a 3500000. :-laf

I'm like you, I like them off, but don't know if I want to do it to mine.
