The baffle is the black solid plastic piece connected to your elbow from the turbo. There's a billet piece you can buy through Genos that replaces the stock baffle piece. Yes, you'll hear a whole lot more turbo if you replace it.

should have asked this before... .

Will removing it help to quicken turbospool, and do I have to replace it with something, or can I run w/out it?

Nothing wrong with running sans baffle. Lots of people do so. Removing it won't spool the turbo noticeably quicker.

There is also a "directional vane" assembly in the elbow right before the turbo inlet... mine had gotten out of position and was actually doing more harm than good as it was partially blocking the turbo inlet.

I assume you aready removed the silencer ring?

As for the baffle: if you study it, you will see that you can take a screwdriver and sorta pop the one end off... the guts will then slide out. You will need something like JB Weld to reattach the end as it is heat bonded from factory. I did mine about two weeks ago. I JB welded it back together, then slopped some RTV around the seam to ensure that it was completely sealed.

Stuff like that never seems to work for me, no matter what vendor I'm talking to. Usually the conversation goes like this:

Me: "So, uhhh, $129, huh? That's pretty expensive. Any chance I can get a discount?"

Them: "No. "

Me: "Okay, so my credit card number is ... "

I've also tried it the other way:

Me: "$129? I'll give you $100. "

Them: [click]

Me: "Hello? Hello?"

And then there's the ever-popular:

Me: "Do you offer a TDR discount?"

Them: "No"

Me: "Okay, so my credit card number is ... "

:-laf I've given up trying. :-laf
