No, said he had to work or something to that effect,

However, Handerson did, he seen what happens here, as far as food and the Rock n Roll band, rocking hard, and of course, the Cougars roaming aroud for young meat like you, maybe for my 50th we can do it again? so you have a year to come up with excuses why you cant make it:)

Baja in the Fall.

Still want to go but I dont think I'll be able to afford a new suspension. So will have to keep the pace down.
Just go! I survived many a Baja trip in my '85 Toyota 4wd w/ 1" of spring travel when loaded up. :{ That thing always made it in and out but my wife and I would be sore for days. :) Fall's when we would enjoy going the most. Kids are back in school and it's time for the adults to enjoy the place.

We will most likely go down and do some pre-running a couple weeks before the 1k not sure about the race itself at this point.

I don't think it will be the last. I have heard rumours of an offer on the table from a large company to buy Score but who knows what Sal will do

We had our sponsors meeting at Mickey on tuesday. There was 12 teams there. 9 will not be returning to baja. Safety is the main reason. We Will not be returning either. We as other teams are focusing of all other racing in states. Our lives are not worth it. Maybe one day if they ever change down there we will return. Sal has had many major teams pull or have not decided yet to go. I know even Robbie is unsure, so will see. :{

Mexico blues.

I have a friend who regularly travels down to the Colonet,B. C. area. He is dark complected,drives an old pos Chevy truck with open bed(no surfboards exposed) and is fluent in Spanish. Formally the officials left him alone as he gave the appearance of a local. Zero bling factor. His last three trips have resulted in pullovers in Ensenada,Santo Tomas and Jaramillo on the way to his place down there. The same scenario was used: under the pretense of looking for guns,drugs,and who knows what,he's intercepted by the police and had his vehicle searched. He watches them like a hawk afraid of them planting something illegal. They've even got him jacked up now and he's a veteran traveler like I was until a few years ago. Too bad as the country folk are every bit as fine as anywhere.

Aforementioned friend was at Punta San Telmo(Quatro Casas) from Thursday through today. He mentioned seeing a lot of motorcycles going through. Zero pullovers this trip except in Maneadero which is normal. Things are looking up.

That is where we were :-laf

Surely he noticed us... ... ... ... ... ... ... we weren't too quiet

I'll have to question him some more. He's getting to be a grouchy old fart. :) Twenty+ years ago the 500 went through along the cliffs there. Now they route it behind the structures. The rails and the uncorked v-8's stand out in my mind. Of course,the guy riding by on a quad amused me. My back went into spasms on the spot. :{ Colonet's up for bid as the new Megaport so thing's will be changing soon.

So I dont think we will make it for the 1000 or should I say the 600. We are still planning a windsurfing trip later in the winter and just cant swing two trips. Thanksgiving at the cabin with the family instead.

It looks like the 809 Big Dog truck will run the B1k again this year Oo.

It finished last year despite not having any time in the dirt and a serious roll over with a rookie driver
