I bought 5 Baldwin PF7977 fuel filters and I noticed that they were in the Baldwin cardboard box without any plastic wrapping on the filter itself. Is this normal? Fleetguard FS19856 filters I bought from Geno's came wrapped in plastic.

The filters look right as compared to the pictures on the Baldwin website. Just wondering if I was sold some counterfeits...

I just picked up two of these(PF7977) today at the local Grainger's, $17. 50 each. Seemed a bit high priced, but has been several years since I purchased fuel filters. I used the last Fleetguard in my supply yesterday, so these will be the first Baldwins I will use in my OEM canister, OP is correct, no plastic wrap.

Next time you might consider buying them from B-Line filter in Odessa, TX. Currently only $13. 33 each and even with shipping might save you some money if you stock up on several filters.

No affiliation... just a satisfied long-time Internet customer.

Thanks John, I bookmarked the url. I also went on Baldwin's site and found several other distributors, one(six robblees') is only about a mile away $15. 49.

$13. 85 a year ago for those @ Grainger. We're suppposed to be living in low inflation times.
