On my 2002 4x4 3500 seems there is only one grease fitting per wheel - on the top - nothing I can locate for the lower ball joint. Or am I missing something?

zerks

In the spring I'm getting underneath with a drill, tap and magnet to install some zerks.

Not the answer your looking for.

'02's like mine only have *1* fitting, on the drag link - so I got a grease injection needle at the local NAPA store, and use it to penetrate all the rubber boots in the steering/suspension, and grease them that way. Sure wish I could get to the U-joints the same way, but no go... 35,000 miles so far, and steering is still tight as new...

I just had my uppers and lowers replaced last spring, none have grease fittings. I wish they did. I like the opption of greasing them. That way I know they have some lube.

Cyborg:

Are the Zerks just grease nipple replacements that you drill and tap to install?? Available at UAP/NAPA?

yes, you can get them in 45 and 90 degree angles. Those seem more prone to breaking.
