Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
My question= How much up and down play in my upper ball joints is permissable? I have about 1/8" up and down play in my R upper ball joint. The L upper has a tiny bit, hardly negligeable. The lowers have no play at all. The last time I had it in the freak'n dealer i asked them to ck the R lower because when I squeezed it I mistook the movement to be in the lower joint. They said it was fine, I think they were to stupid to ck it out and find it was the upper. This was a bad visit they replaced the wrong brakes the time before and when I returned with the same noise they said the brakes were OK. The following morning I pulled my front pads and found they had seperated from the backing plate. The FOOLS gave me a set of front pads and I did the install myself this truck is under warrenty). I had a chat with the service mgr. and he was all humble. If the play is excessive I will have another chat turned up a level or two.
