2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Ball Joint Press Rented From Big Name Auto Parts Stores - Inadequate

I rented from two different stores. Same results: Too Small for our ball joints!

If the available space between the c-frame is 6", then these tools won't work for us. Large ones with a distance of 8-9" do work. Neither of the stores had the large ones for rent.

I did find an aftermarket large c-frame press. I have not used it, nor even held it. Putting this out there for those interested: OTC 7248 C-Frame Press. Roughly $100 +/-. The OTC website mentions using additional adapters that fit with most cups, and said adapters will add to the cost. Of course, you can purchase various sets with the large press, but that's up to you to research & decide.

I thought I remember a few people stating the Harbor Freight one as working but I have no experience with it.
