Like I've heard before... I love the Cummins but I'm beginning to dislike the vehicle it's in!

If we were going to keep the car we would have investigated why they went so frequently. They should last 100,000-200,000 miles. Maybe OEM units would work better than the DC original parts... It doesn't matter we now have the last year of the Olds 88 and it is a fine car. Previously I would NEVER have jumped ships. The deciding factor was the transmission every 70,000 miles.

If I could get a Cummins in a Ford, that would be what I would have ordered. Yes the Dodge trucks are much better looking, the Sport trucks are downright sexy. I can only deal with marketing for so long, if DC is not an engineering driven company I will not support them.

I heard that others in the TDR have had the front ball joints replace... more than once. Well, I guess I'm joining your "elite" club!
Yesterday, I heard that oh so familiar sound comming from the front end. Now to figure out if it's the one the Dealer already replaced or the upper!

Our 1994 Concord eats them like candy. Chrysler likes that feature.

Just be glad they are better than a S-10. I have a friend who broke his going down the road. It took out the tire, brake assembly, brake line, ball joints, part of the axle shaft, and part of the tierod. Im not going to mention all that it screwed up by draging on the ground till it stopped. BTW this is a 99 s-10 4x4, lifted, but not alot, and he wasnt playin around when it happened, just driving.
