Hi Folks,

Anybody know a good manufacturer of ball-joints for a 2001?

I searched Moog, but couldn't seem to find anything listed for 2001.

Anything else out there (other than OEM) that make's quality BJ's for my truck? Are they better than OEM BJ's?

Thanks, All.

Seemed like BS at the time, but when I took my '01 to the dealer for ball joint replacement, they put '99 model year ball joints in it (or so they said). There was some mention of the orientation of the ball joints was inverted between the years.

They did it under warranty too.

HTH. I might have been the victim of a lying dealership service dept, but I don' t have a ball joint problem currently.

Ingle products

Ingle products has adjustable, greasable ball joints for our truck. Our stock ones are not adjustable, these ball joints corrected my steering problems... . Do a search on Ingle ball joints and you should come up with plenty of info. I dont recall the number right now. Good luck... ... :D

Is the intent to replace all four of the balljoints with adjustable parts?

It is my understanding that adjustment for alignment purposes is only needed at one upper, normally the passenger side.

So is it just easy enough to press out the stock ball joints and throw these suckers in? I got the dreaded "you need ball joints" at the dealer today, and I'm trying to prepare myself for what to expect.

I have a pretty good mechanical background, but don't have the press yet. I'd rather spend the few hundred dollars on a press, than give the dealer $800 to do what I can do in an afternoon with my bright, shiny, new press.
