Yeah, I wish they weren't. I hate to pull the arms and take them someplace to have them pressed out and the new ones in. Especially when the old joints seem perfect yet, just need new boots.

I bugged NAPA some more today, they have "universal" rubber boots. Problem is, you must know the sizes of your ball joint in order to get the correct one, no cross reference to what they fit. .



Don, yours are pressed in? Mine are riveted in. I had my passenger lower ball joint replaced about five months ago (the others were still in great shape). The new ball joint is attached with nuts and has a zirk.
 
If you just replace the boots I recommend you do NOT use the dorman/motormite generic boot. I used them on my 1957 Plymouth last year and they are already shot. And I drove it a LOT this summer - almost 300 miles!

If you can find the real boots - let me know the part number!
 
Hey thanks, good site! They don't list them for my truck, but I sent them an email anyway, something else may work just as well.
