O. K. fellow Rammers,

I'm in need of replacing my ball joints. I've done the search thing and came up with a lot of talk from mostly 4WD owners. I'm hoping to get some tips, from personal experiences, on what is the easiest, safest way to change them out on a 2WD. Also, I saw that most members prefer the Moog brand, but Advanced Auto carries TRW and AutoZone carries McCuay-Norris. Does it matter what the brand if both places offer lifetime warranties?

Next, is DC the only place to get control arm bushings? I'm figuring that I might as well change them out while I have it all apart.

Thanks

EMD, you got it!

These days I'm not so much the mechanic as I am the Maintenance Chief. I was a crew chief from '82 until '98 when I pinned on Gunny. Just picked up Master Sergeant so I owe 'em two years; retire in about July '04.

Maybe this was more than you were expecting, but I figured if you had knowledge of the CH-46, you'd know what I was talking about.

I figured between the Virginia Beach location and 46Mech there was no mistaking it.

I spent a few weeks on the Boxer last year with HMH-361 and the 11th MEU. Heading back in December on there return leg.

Since this is a ball joint thread, ill continue this in PM's. If i dont respond its because the PM's are all messed up, i got 2 emails today saying i had new PM's and i went there and there were none.
