I was at dodge the other day getting friend to work on truck he said my ball joints are toast with 60,000 and he has seen a ton like this his service manager said that there may be a recall coming out on them. I am getting mine done by friend on the side but will keep receipts for parts in case anybody else hear anything like this

That would be nice :) that would help out alot of poeple here . I have 40,000 miles on my rig and i hope i don,t have to pay to have mine done any time soon. You could look at it like a bonus and spend that money on somthing else new for your rig :D

Just got my '02 back from the alignment shop. They aligned it last September to the specs listed on the TDR. Did great and I just thought I'd have it checked again. A little bit of wander is back. They told me today that there is a little play in the ball joints, and they probably should be replaced come spring...

Alignment still all OK. This sounds like an expensive repair pending. I have a total of 44,000 miles to present. Anyone else have this problem?

My brother sold his previous 98. 5 because of the ball joint reason. He only had 28000 miles on it, and they were shot. Truck was also out of warantee, so he just sold it. Now, he is getting worried that his current truck has the same issues!

Ball joints, track bar. What next? Mine has just under 43k and they are shot. Its on track bar #5 and the 2nd set of ball joints are about toast again.
