So it's time to replace my ball joints on 2 '07 5. 9 4-wheel drive vehicles. My question is "is it worth waiting the 6 weeks for the Carli or would you just use the Dynatrac joints?"

Thanks

I'm in the same boat with my '03. From what I've seen, I don't think you could go wrong using either Carlis or Dynatracs. Looking to score a set of Dynatracs myself here real soon.

Ive been happy with the Dynatracs but Ive installed both and the Carlis are deffenitly a better ball joint, Ive also heard some customer service issues with dynatrac but no personal experiance with that part.

I have installed both. Both are a quality product. IMO if you do not religiously grease ball joints at a minimum of every service with weight off the joints, the carli's are not for you.

The Dyna's are sealed tight and will probably be okay with getting greased on a less than optimum schedule.

If I was doing it again, I think I would save 200 and go with dyna's.

Don't waste your time with XRF (made in Taiwan right on the box)! Installed April 1, 2011 and 8,100 miles later, the uppers both have play! No problem with warranty, just send the failed parts back for a new set.

I don't have time to change ball joints every time I rotate the tires, so Carli is for me next time.

I went Carli. I was at first thinking to go with the Dynatrac, changing ball joints is a pain in the ***. I wanted the best I could get so I got the product that was guaranteed and am happy with them.

Thanks for all the response. I decided on the Carlis, there product seems top notch and I sure don't want to do this again soon. 4-6 weeks is quite he wait, hope I'm not disappointed.

Me too. I went with the greasable Moog non-adjustable uppers and lowers. They are working good so far and they were cheaper than Dyna or Carlis.

Me three... . The next time it will get Carlis but the Moogs are doing fine right now.

Other upgrades are higher on the list right now... . :D

Mike. :)

I had tried the Moog units only to have a major binding issue with them. Unloaded they were with in spec but as soon as you loaded them the truck was undrivable. Have Carli uppers and Dynatraxx lowers in now. Carli's have been in over 90,000 mies and are as tight as the day they went in. The Dynatraxx lowers have been in about 35,000 and are holding up just fine. There was another company that I saw advertised here in the TDR that had a very simlar design to the Carli system, the price was better. But after having done this job a few times now save your money go for the Carli's you'll never have to do them again. You'll be way ahead of the game in the long run.

I have the Dynas and am happy with them. For the cost of install or the amount of labor if you are DIYer it's not worth going cheap. Shad

I got some Moog's too and they were shot in 30,000 miles. Going with XRF or Dynatrac next time. Not spending $1000 for Carli's
