Civil War

I love this series... When it's on History Channel, I have to watch it. I have seen the series at least (3) times. I will watch it no matter what. This is one of the best WWII movies-series ever produced! Give me your thoughts, gents! Oo. Oo.

I'm not a sap, but the last episode when they interviewed all the actual vets, that tore me up. I agree, it's nice to see something paying homage to the greatest generation.

My brother visited and had the complete DVD set. I stayed up all night and watched them back to back. It's like watching a 12 hour version of Saving Private Ryan. But better. Phenomenal series.

I too enjoyed the B of B series. Not to deter from it,but it was "acting" to recreate the docu- drama. Course they probably could'nt do it any other way to re- enact the scenes. The realism was brought in with the interviews. Quite a series to replicate just what the men of the battles went through.

If you like B of B, then you might also like D-Day: Down to Earth- Return of the 507th I just got finished watching it a short time ago. Its about the last PIR to drop into Normandy and follows some of the men who went to France for a memorial dedication. Not a series- 1 hr. long, borrowed it from the library.

Excellent series. The musical score is also well done. Costco has the complete DVD collection on sale for $69. I bought the collection when it first came out on the shelves with a $10 off coupon several months ago.

Every chance I get to watch it, I do. Good actors, casting and action shots. Very realistic.
