Hey Stake, just because you are a Dad, doesn't mean you have to retire.

I second that. I have 197k on mine and its just getting started. Of course I don't have kids... yet. Well hopefully you'll change your mind so we can race again some day. :D

It was great meeting you.

I also have to say I think we need to have a tent or something too to meet at. The PSD club had one set up. It would be nice to have a gathering place.

Hope to see you all at the next event.

Thanks again

Steve

Having 2 kids takes up a lot of my time. At this point I would rather devote that time them, since they are growing so fast. I don't want to miss any of it.

I will be at the events, time permitting, to shake hands and talk diesel. :)

Family comes first in my book, this stuff is just a passing thing!

I had a really good time talking to everyone and it was nice to meet Rhonda, Hoss and Fletcher Sr & Jr. I posted the pictures I could salvage in my reader rigs if anyone is interested. Including your truck Stakeman even though it's dirty :D .

If I had washed it, it would have rained for sure. ;)

There are some pics up over HERE

Fletcher, your truck looks good but you need more stickers man. Stickers = HP!!!

RR, your truck looks great with that big PDR sticker!!

I'll second that. When is the RMTDR gonna get off the ground? Let me know what I can do to help. ;)

I had a great time. It was great to be able to talk with a lot of you guys. I agree that we should have some place to meet and maybe some sort of name tag.

I made it to the semi's in the 4x4 class, but red-lighted by . 094 seconds. I guess I was getting a bit anxious. It was pretty cool to go straight from the finish line to the starting line a few times. The adrenaline still hasn't stopped pumping! The truck ran great and surprisingly consistent.

JJ's tire burner half way down the track was a real crowd favorite!

I was impressed with the Ford 6. 0's. They perked up nicely with very few mods. That nice looking goldish colored Excursion (14. 78 breakout) had just exhaust and an Edge chip.

Missed the event!

Howdy peoples -

Unfortunately I had to miss all of the festivities in July and early August (out of town the whole #@$!* time). I was up at Bandimere for the Mopar show a short while ago with the hot rod Demon and had a blast, and I was looking forward to draggin my '93 for fun, before the teardown begins. I recognize a few names in here - Laser Bob for one (I been talkin' with you a bit on the buildup on my 2nd gen transmission for my 93). On Bill K's recommendation I got the 47RE core - now a matter of time amigo!

Getting ready to put my 85 crew cab and my 93 CTD in a meat grinder and cook up one perfect rig. Hoping to debut it at the Bandimere Mopar show next summer. Hey, ya gotta have a huge Winter project right?

Wanted to ask y'all in the Colorado area if there is interest in a local get-together? I'd very much like to meet some of you that have been there and done that so I can get some faces to the names and meet up with y'all to bench race a bit. I cruised up to PDR for dynofest '03 last September and had a great time talking it up with Mark, Harry, Piers, and Pastor Bob. Got hooked pretty hard and haven't looked back since. I live in Peyton (suburb East of C. Springs right off SH-24), and have a great big parking area at the house. I need to bench race with y'all and wave some magic wrenches over the rig before I tear it all apart. I have plenty of experience with carbs and not enough with injection pumps. With what I have planned I want to absorbe as much as possible before cracking the proverbial seal.

- That in mind - Anyone interested in a 'small' BOMBfest at the house? I'm thinking around early September~ish. I'm not looking for anything huge but having a local diesel fest might be fun - and I have LOTS of parking. Neighbors might get curious, but that's the beauty of having an acre to play with. Big ole BBQ, lots of beer and soda, and some great conversation. Any takers? Or, maybe meet up at an upcoming show as a group.

Either way I'd like to meet some of you and get smart on some things. Be my pleasure to come up to Denver area if there is a club meeting there, etc. Whatever works, and it's all good.

Many thanks,

- Sam

I got to go faster than I ever have on the track. 14. 5@97mph!

It's just a work truck. Weighed 6500# at the track and has 232500 miles on the ticker. Never had the head off... ... ..... Yet.

Somebody name 1, just 1 Ford of Chevy that can say that. Please, just one. Hell, I'd settle for 150k.

I could not make it to the race, but I did get to ATS rather late, and stayed rather late. I was hoping to meet more of you out-of-towners, but oh well. Next time for sure.

SamsRams - We're working on it. We are trying to re-structure the RMTDR officers and get some events going. Just keep your eye in this section of the forums for any events. We may just take you up on that offer at your spread. You do not need permission to host something, just give plenty of notice here, and maybe in a couple of other forum areas. Say "Pot Luck" and the members will come out of the wood work. Just try to avoid holiday and event weekends.
