I have a set of replacment Banjo bolts and have a question.

The one I removed from the injector pump is shorter then the set of replacments (about 1/2" shorter). Not being sure I just put the old one back in. Hate to run the new one in to deep and take out a injection pump!

What have you guys been finding when you do your bolts.

98. 5 ISB

Your right, the injectiion pump banjo bolt is shorter. I do not know if installing a longer one will hurt anything but you were wise to put back in your old one until you find out for sure.

short banjo bolts

It is my understanding that '99 trucks, (and I assumer 98. 5 perhaps???) have less thread in the pump than later models. I have made up shorter bolts, they should go out to plating today. Anyone with a '99, let me know, and we'll send out the short bolt. I did not tap any of the short bolts, as I didn't the extra weight of the sending unit hanging on 3 threads.
