I'm in the middle of installing new rotors, pads and calipers. The new calipers came with new clips and two copper washers. Are the copper washers for the banjo bolt? If they are, why is there two of them? One side of my truck the banjo bolt had one copper washer while the driver's side had two copper washers stacked next to the head of the bolt. Should I use one or two of them?

Use both, one between the banjo fitting and the caliper, the other one between the banjo fitting and head of the banjo bolt.

Mike.

If it's a true banjo setup then there should be one between the head and the banjo, and another between the banjo and caliper.

Somebody has done th ebrakes and did not install the washers correctly. Like th eothers said, one under the head of the banjo and one between the block and the caliper.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the help. One bad thing is the calipers I bought only had two of the four needed copper washers so I have to get some new ones. Until then I'm running the old washers.

Couple of parts places around here said not to use the new ones that come with the calipers, but to use the ones that came on the truck. They say the new ones are garbage.

Bolts or washers? Bolts I can see you might want to keep your originals but the washers are really a one time use. If they don't go back close to the same way they can leak.
