I read alot about banjo bolts and replacing them with larger units. They seem cheap enough to replace, but where are they and are they worth the trouble to replace? Do the new ones just increase flow and reduce stress on the Lift pump?If I remeber right I need four for my truck? Where are they?

If I recall there are 7 Banjo's. . 2 on VP44, 2 on lift pump, 2 on filter and one at the fuel drain manifold at the back of the block... yes it provides less restriction... no you don't have to change them. .

depends on what your future plans are and if your going to need additional fueling... if your thinking BIG HP... save you $ and upgrade the whole fueling system to -AN lines and replace lift pump with pusher pump or just add a pusher... I didn't see a fuel pressure gauge in your signature for now at least get a "tapped" banjo for adding a pressure gauge while your there adding other larger banjos to the VP44/filter/lift pump won't hurt but the choice is yours but get the pressure gauge it one way or another...

Let me start by saying that I am not an expert.

Banjos

1 into lift pump

1 out of lift pump

1 into fuel filter assbly

1 out of fuel filter assbly

1 into vp-44

5 total

all are on the drivers side of the engine

They will increase flow, remember your vp-44 is lubricated and cooled with fuel.

You can also drill out the ones you have.

If you want a fuel pressure gauge you can either decore a schrader, or buy a tapped one from several sources.

The lift pump is basically either on or off, so increasing the size of your banjos, IMHO will not reduce the stress it feels being so far from the tank.

If there are any experts out there pls feel free to correct any mistaken info I have supplied

A picture is worth 1000 words. You can tell me and take an hour but show me and I got it in seconds. I replaced 5 on mine. The one in the injection pump wasnt exactly the same as the rest. Made me wonder. It looked like it had been drilled and was a 1/4 inch shorter.

What is the size of the hole on the female size of the banjo fitting. If we put a bigger hole in the bolt but the other part is still smaller wouldn't the benefits be limited? Wouldn't it be like putting a few short pieces of 2" pipes on an otherwise 1" pipe lenght?

just asking,

Glenn
