Banks 6 gun dead....

As it states, I was driving last night and a CEL light came on so when I was getting fuel I checked it with my Smarty. It was the same one as always for crank position sensor performance no big deal sooooo... . I cleared it started the truck back up and the Banks was dead and I've started and shut off the truck at least ten times since then so its not an intermittent problem. FYI its the 1st gen 6 gun with the knob... . Any help/ideas out there???

Red - I had the same PO336 issue with my first gen Banks 6-gun w/speedloader and knob. They said to check the connections - I did time and time again. I got plain damn sick of it to be honest. Sometimes, the truck would idle in the morning for about 2 minutes and then cut off for a split second; occasionally throwing the P0336 and CEL.



Then, to top it off, if it was real cold (anything under 0 deg F), and I had it any higher than 2, it'd go into limp/stock mode. Only thing I can attribute to that was the air being too dense for the settings on the system.



So, I took it off in the spring and just bought a Smarty w/the REVO programming. I just got done with a x-country trip of about 6200 miles and am very proud to say that I had zero problems. NO CEL, no hiccups and honest, hand calculated 20 MPG when I had it in setting #2.



By the way..... anyone out there want to buy a cheap Banks 6-gun????

My six gun with knob also died on my 2004. 5. It only had about 40,000 miles when it started causing rough idle and crank codes. Nothing on my truck now,except the gauges that no longer work. (dynafact gauges need six-gun to work)Any one looking for cheap gauges?

If I get another Banks box to hook into my harness I'll take the boost gauge off of your hands that crapped out too lol

But yes, it does suck not have the egt gauge anymore! Specially with the Smarty on SW7 now... .

How would one go about doing a hard reset of the unit? Nowhere in my instructions does it say anything about that.
