Banks touts thier system as sensing when transmission slippage is occuring and automatically defueling. This is obviously for the automatic transmissioned trucks. Banks does not talk about how this system works with a manual transmission- does that "feature" get turned off somehow? I know about the "Banks Nightmare" story that was posted on here but I still do think I might consider putting the 6-gun on a truck and am wondering how their system works with a manual transmission. Anybody got the 6-gun + a 6-speed?
Thanks,
Justin

For the money, I wouldn't touch a 6-gun with A FORD!!!

The power VS the money is not a good ratio. . I would look towards the edge or Bullydog before that 6-gun, heck you need the speedloader before you even get 130hp

What if you're getting the Banks Six Gun w/ Speedloader for free? Friend of mine has a chance to get one. Banks said it's no problem with the 6-sp, just wanted to see if anyone had any impressions of the package.

what was the banks horror story? was looking at the stinger plus for awhile but the noticed some thing weird. the increase for the git kit plate where the same as the increase stated in my tst catalog. anyways, i want to here the dirt. :-laf

Come now guys. ONE Banks horror story and really ONLY heard one side of it. I've read a LOT more posts about check engine lights, stalling, hesitations etc. about ALL the other boxes out there. Banks has always tried to produce quality, safe products that work. I sold many a banks Stage 3 kit at the dealer I worked at. Never a issue, full kit in one BOX(exhaust, plates, turbo housing, gauges etc)that ALL fit like a glove with excellent tech support. Customers loved them. I did look into doing it all seperate. Would have saved maybe a $100. Wasn't worth it. 99% of my customers who bought these kits were 50 plus years old. They always test drove and came back with a HUGE GRIN. Wifes had eyes the size of HALF DOLLARS! Techs ENJOYED installing them also.

I've got the Bully Dog Torque Dog and I get lockup clutch slippage on the 90hp setting. I'm removing it and installing the Banks Six Gun and quick loader. I bought the Banks setup of eBay for about the same as the Torque Dog. But the Bully Dog installs in five minutes, has no sensing connections and weighs about a third what the Banks ubit weighs. The way I look at it, all those extra inputs to the Banks unit are cheap insurance, one exploded Cummins aside.
