Banks Big hoss and auto transmission

I am going to purchase the banks git kit. It comes with the monster exhaust and the big hoss programmer. How long do you think a stock transmission will last, I never pull more than 5K and that is once or twice every 2 weeks in the summer the rest of the driving is just city and highway driving. I don't need the extra power for anything but kicks and giggles. I also understand that the banks kit comes with the ability to defuel the truck when the torq conv locks up, which they claim does not hurt the trans. Any info would be appreciated.

Never used one

Not sure what year your truck is but my stock transmission held up to decent power for awhile. A lot depends on how you use it. I can say that the Goerend Brothers transmission I just had installed is by far the best mod I ever did. You would be well served spending the dough on the transmission instead of the Banks Kit. Will probably feel more power from it.

Now some would say that a Banks kit will not make enough power to hurt the transmission :-laf but I have no expierience with them... ... unless you count a couple of encounters with a Banks equipped Ford

Just be done with it and get the Big Hoss that taps the pump wire and run it on level 3-5 depending on how much you want to tax your transmission. The same day I reflashed to level 5 my clutch gave out!!
