Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Banks Brake ?

Who's got em and are they worth it? I can get a used one from a friend for 250. 00 will it be worht it and will I see a difference also what hp are stage 2 injectors worth.

Love mine, it did take sometime to get used to the warmup. When coolant temp is below 140* the brake is on to aid in warmup. Kinda like a heat riser on older gassers. I was sure I had an exhaust leak but it was just the brake helping warmup.

A benefit I liked is the exhaust noise in the cab is really quieter since the brake is a big assy with heavy casting it replaces the down pipe elbow on the turbo, which is a thin unit
 
My Brake came with a new section of pipe that goes on after the brake is installed. You can get either the 3 inch or the 4 inch pipe from Banks.



I have had mine installed for about 3 weeks and I am completely happy with it.

I've been running with a Banks Brake for a few months now. It's a wonderful unit. The computer controller works like a charm. I installed mine along with the Banks 4" Monster Exhaust but it is available with a down pipe for the stock system.
