Banks Bullet

[06 mega]

I have a 06 mega cab I have been looking at the banks bullet or the smarty jr my main goal is a little better mpg the truck has a megaflow exhaust and a KN fipk looking for some input on these tunners.

What everyone (ok, maybe only 99% of people) on this site will tell you is that Smarty is the best and Banks is overpriced. They will also say they don't like K+N.

we have a ts-mp8 and theres definitely a difference with it turned up and down (more on the lines of off seemingly). we ride around with our ts-mp8 turned up. when we feel our mileage is starting to turn sour the 1st thing we check is to make sure the ts-mp8 is turned all the way up. another thing you may wish to consider on the lines of cheap is advancing your timing using a adjustable crank sensor from Rokktech. Performance items



yes there is better products out there that bring mileage and power but i am going from what you have on the truck as posted above that your on a tight budget and so i am not reccomending items requiring a visit to your local bank.

I made the mistake of buying a banks product as my first upgrade. I would search for an alternative.

i will go against the grain here and say that for the price the Bullet is one of the most bang for your buck units on the market. the next closest unit feature wise to that is the Superchips Firefly and it's almost $200 more. while the JR is a great unit i think if your towing the Bullet is a great choice if not it's still a good choice but you must go w/ what bets suits your needs.

I liked my banks bullet it was a nice gain for what i paid plus it has built in gauges but i hated the six gun and i am now a smarty man for life. Banks is just blowing fuel smartys the hole deal . I have other banks stuff but never electronics get the jr it will be worth the extra cash. my 2cts
