Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Banks E brake quit working

My Banks E-brake on my 01 2500 4X4 5sd CTD quit working about the same time my a/c quit putting out cold air. Not sure where to start looking. Module?, Vac pump? Don't know if there's any connection between brake and a/c going out, just recharged a/c, was cold for a day or two . Humm... ? Any ideas.

both the brake & the HVAC unit use vacuum so that might be the problem.

Thanks darkhorse, I was messing with the box filter, maybe I pulled a vac line loose. I appreciate your input.

Also check switch located at throttle peddle. My 01 Dodge has had that problem forever. Sw is week and always needs readjusting... ... Banks is suppose to upgrade sw. Maybe I'll ck today...

Mine has no switch at the throttle pedal & I don't recall one from the instruction book either. Do you have an older model?
