Banks Economind diesel tuner

has anyone had experience with Banks Economind diesel tuner? or even the six gun tuner. 2006 5. 9L looking for MPG basically, but will take some performance also. Wondering why not much talk about Banks on this forum?

Banks products are generally thought of as high quality, high priced, and don't give you as much bang for your buck.

The only experience I had with Banks was tres negative and I doubt I would ever try them again. They have nice looking stuff though...

I have the Banks Ottomind(predecessor to the Economind) tuner on my '03. I like it a lot. Mine gives about 2-2. 5 better mpg. It works as advertised, but you do have to read the fine print. The 100hp increase is with all the supporting mods(intercooler, intake, exhaust... ) and that is the best gain from an '03 SO truck. That said, I got a best gain of 95hp(w/ supporting mods) at 2400rpm. I have gotten good customer service from them, as long as I call; e-mails seem to get lost. Hope this helps.

i have used the banks stuff in the past and for DD or towing it will work fine. the milage was not much if any improvment on my truck.
