I have read other threads regarding this issue, but I am still unsure which one is the best. I am not going to be doing anything too serious to my truck, I would just like it to breath better. Which intake is better, the Banks High Ram or the ATS or are there other ones that would perform better than the stock intake?

if nothing else, the ats one is pre-tapped for accessories [n2o, water/meth, boost gauge/sensor... ]

bd is suppose to have one coming early next year iirc

The ATS one is HUGE I think I will end up getting one but it is pretty low on my priority list.

There is a member on another site I check out and he installed the ATS intake and has said he was very pleased with the performance of it.

Both are good units. Really, here's the difference. Do you want something red on your engine?

Do you have any need for the pre tapped holes in the ATS? If it doesn't matter then either one will work for ya.

Me, I would go with the ATS just becasue of the tapped holes and its black.

The CFM+ one is pretty slick too!

I think the Swanker is probably the most functional intake horn…. . functionality, affordability, and super-smooth airflow to the head (as if that matters). It's not the prettiest though.

I like the ATS for its functionality (love the pre-tapped accessory ports) and I like the Banks for it looks... . sand the letters/paint off and it polishes up nicely. That's what I did and it looks sharp. Carbon fiber is neat if you're in to that, but I prefer it on Japanese motorcycles better.

As far as which one is the "better" intake horn, there is only one problem with the stock 3rd Gen intake horn and every aftermarket horn made today fixes it..... so it really doesn't matter which you get. I would suggest pick one based on the look you like and the options that you need. For instance, my high ram does not lend itself to easy drilling and tapping for lots of accessories as it's too thin. You can only drill and tap in a couple of small areas, allowing only a few goodies... ..... so caution there. I don’t think it really matters what it is made of either. It is too short to really add or dissipate any heat. It would have to be 3 feet long to make a difference in that department.
