Allright,

I asked when the topic came up in the 12 valve forum but I think they are a little slow:p. Can it fit on our 24v's? Some one said no because of the injector lines but I read in Kats sig where he has it I think.

Will it fit or not. I am NOT expecting a BIG power gain, just a LITTLE better. This with the ATS would be a nice addition.

TIA,

AJB

several NW BOMBer's have the Banks&reg High Ram on their 24 Valve Cunmmins.

And expect O HP gain only lots of :D :D

its all show and no go :(

But Damn it looks nice especially chromed

Banks HighRam fits 24v yes.

Banks Twin Ram does not.

I have the HighRam..... does it add anything? Dunno don't really care thats not why I bought it. If it helps. . then great. Although now I am curious and might swap them out on a dyno next time I am on one. I changed mine because I had mine tapped on top vertically for boost reading, and when I went to the AirBull Dog hood..... it gave me an "Excuse" to buy it.

Since you mention your budget limited... ... I would overlook the ATS and the Highram for now, dependng on your budget. I am going to CO for a week for work (if ya call riding trains through the mountains of CO work hehe) I'll try to get alot of pics when I get back... ...

How much will this thing cost? Just courious.

If I remember correctly, the High-Ram retails for $300. That said, deals can be had if you look... many of us NW BOMBers paid substantially less than that.

BTW, the Banks Twin Ram for the 12v does make a performance difference depending on your definition of performance. A past segment in the TDR, Second Time Around column describes and quantifies this.

Darn!!!  I saw a Twin Ram on Bpine's Pinestein at the Tulare DEPO show last weekend, and loved it! I was hoping I could get one someday... ... ... .....

Well, thanks Kat for letting the air out of my baloon now, rather than me finding out after much research wasted.

High Ram

I have the high ram on my '99 but I think it's different than the 12 valve version. Dunno if it did squat for power because I put it on with the Power Pack... ... but it looks trick!:D

No more ugly Intake!!

U could always make your intake horn look like mine. . haha. . just cost U some elbow grease... I guess U could make the inside look the same. . now that would really take some gease. . haha. .

You should be about 300$ lighter . Money seems to go faster as you bank on Banks. Ron in Louisville Ky. :D

Ron- I bought it used. I wouldn't pay $300  or more for one. It's the ONLY Banks product that'll ever be on my truck. (I really don't care for Banks and their lies at all. Did Gale ever reply back to Bill K's questions??? I gotta check that out, I don't think he did. ) Look at my mods. I'm not banking on them, I just like this product that only They offer, if somebody else made it I'd buy it from them. I don't plan on any performance gain, but if I get it that's a bonus. It's like someone getting different rims and tires, they don't expect more power and better mileage, they get them for the looks. That's all I got it for... Looks :D

Call Bully Dog

Did anyone else get Bullydog's flier in the mail this spring. They advertised a generic Highram just like Banks's. It didn't look like it was lettered or painted but is was alot less than the Banks. 200 bananas if I remember right. Nothing about it on their webpage.

I don't think the High Ram will add HP by itself, but I do feel it will help to smooth out the air flow into the manifold area of the head. Which should allow the addition of larger, or more turbos which in turn will flow more air. This resulting increase in air will allow a significant increase in fueling capabilities, which will result in increased HP. I have one on my HO, and agree with some others, it is the only Banks product I will spend money for.
