I am looking at the Power PDA. I am well aware that there are better progams for maximum power, but I am not looking for that. I am looking for a great towing setup, I could care less about that extra 10-15hp. I am MPG motivated. I really only want one box. no stacking and I do want to change power levels on the fly.

I am looking at the pda, because it is a PDA, and I use mine almost everyday. So whats the skinny.

Good or bad. I just want to know about the Banks program. If you HAD it, and left for something else, just write switched to ... ... and real quick why you left.

Please do not Banks Bash just to Bash.

I really want one box. not really into stacking.

Thanks

Chris

ps. I did a search. not what I was looking for

My dad has an 04. 5 with the banks six gun( not PDA) and I like it for him because it is able to give him some extra power without him having to have to worry about anything. The regular six gun only adds about 85 rwhp but I read on a thread here somewhere that the PDA is capable of about 160 hp. His mileage did increase about 1. 5 around town but wouldnt know about towing since he doesnt tow a lot. I think its about what your wanting for mileage and a little extra power for towing. The reason most people on here dont like banks is because they dont supply the most power for the buck.

I was thinking seriously about the Banks Power PDA setup, but ended up going with the Edge/Attitude combo. My main reasons were (a) the Edge is cheaper (b) Edge has the cleanest install of any of the boxes. If you get the pillar pod for the Edge, it looks much more factory than just having a PDA dangling off the dash somewhere. Also, this is just anecdotal, but I have heard more than one story of people around hearing blowing a head gasket with Banks products. Perhaps, it's just because I live so close to Banks and there are more people around here with Banks than Edge. Still, it was starting to make me nervous. Edge has lots of safety features, such as cold engine protection, defueling to prevent excessive EGT's, boost, or transmission slippage and a turbo cool down timer. Lastly, if the power bug ever does bite, you can always spring for the Hot Juice upgrade.

I do see that you have a 2007. Neither Banks nor Edge is advertising support for 2007 on their website at this time, although I'm sure that will change soon.

The BANKS Six Gun or PowerPDA set limits on rail Pressure. Both tuner are NOT pressure killers, the MAX Pressure is 25. 000 than will retard to 23. 500 to 24. 500 well under the rail and injection system limits. the PowerPDA is awesome Band-with does not allow to post all the features and program safety factors that allow the owner to use. I Produce the 160hp ,feel free to contact us for product Info anytime T&C has 24/7 customer service.

Wow, I thought that there was gonna be alot of hate mail on this. I heard more good than bad about there products, but when its bad, Its reall bad. I glad that most people are bash because of the bang for the buck aspect.

Thanks

Chris
