Does anyone have any experience with the Banks PowerPack.

Pros, Cons etc. Right now they have a good sale going on.

Thanks.

Do a search.....

There is a huge amount of info on Banks..... You'll likely find that most TDR members feel Banks is very spendy and you can get as much or more bang for your buck with other choices. Take your time and don't feel pressured by Banks very aggressive marketing. They'll be around with another "special" later if you pass on this one.

Good luck with your decision... .

i;m not so sure...

ramhead, that i'd even take a free deal from banks.

LJolley--also do a search for "proper order for bombing" from a guy named ted janetty. excellent post and thread. my extremely small . 02 worth is that you can get ALOT more bang for your buck

doing other things. BTW--welcome aboard. you're doing the right thing--reading and asking questions.

My experience was all the smoke up my rear axle that I could handle till I asked for a couple of references in my area then Dave Fredentoller quit calling me.

Banks

LJolley,

I'm afraid that most of the posts will be skewed against Banks. However there are those of us with Banks equipment who think it is a very good starting point.

The exhaust is a quality component.

The Turbo housing is also an improvement on stock.

Guages are a must.

Banks is pricey (HIGH) but the quality of the equipment is as good as the competition.

I do not have the Banks Ottomind computer installed in my rig. I didn't quite like the idea of puncturing the pump wire. I feel that the EZ is a better option for an untobtrusive fuel enhancement. The 275's are also woth the money.

I live in So Cal so the smog police are all over. Smoke is unacceptable to me otherwise I would have stuck with the step 2 injectors which I tried but couldn't tolerate.

All in all I don't regret buying the Banks equipment that I have. They were my first BOMB upgrades and they were chosen with moderation, performance and reliability in mind. If you look at my signature you'll see many other upgrades. They all work well with each other. I have never had a warranty claim denied by my 5 star dealer and there have been several to date.

Choose what's right for you. That's really all that matters.

I have to agree that Banks quality is good but I also think that some of their performance claims are outright lies. You can expect about 50% or less of the performance increases they claim to give.
