top of the day to you all, have a question, I am looking to install a banks Stinger TLC on to my 2001. 2500 with auto trans.

I just got the truck about a month ago, has 33,000 miles. I got the bumper to bumper warranty for 5 yrs, 60,000. I do not want to void the warranty on the truck. will installing theStinger and adding gauges void it? thanks allot, sure have learned allot from all of you.

Will It Void Your Warranty?

Yes!

OBTW, purchasing that extended warranty was an error IMO. The last people you want touching your truck would be the dealer. They are  With respect to a few of my friends that work for dealers, there are exceptions.

It will only void the warranty on parts of the truck that have been damaged by it. That means certain parts of your engine and drivetrain. It won't effect your your power windows, stereo, paint job, etc.

Warranty

I will have to disagree with Bill. The folks on this berg have had complete warranty cancellation. That's both Ford and Dodge.

As a dealer employee many years ago, I was witness to a warrantee cancelation (remember leaded gas?). It could be canceled for everything but you should be able to go to court to get it back on the items not affected. All the expensive stuff would be affected though and court isn't cheap.

It's decision time, either see if you can get you $$ money back for the warrantee and step up to the plate or wait until it expires.

Don't do it

YES, your warantee will be voided.

If you do a search on Banks you will find a lot of threads about their products. The consensus is that they are good qualiity, but very overpriced.

I would recommend checkng with several of the vendors that advertise on this site and see what you can get for the same money that you will spend with Banks.

This is what I did, and I believe I saved around $1000 for the same horsepower realized. .

Try to find some TDR members near you or better yet a local chapter, and attend a few get-togethers and drive a few members trucks to see which way to go with your modifications.

There was an excellent long post here in the last few weeks by a member who is dealer warranty officer. Wish I could find it. He basically said if your entire warranty is cancelled due to an aftermarket device the dealer is breaking the law. Of course we all know there are some rotten dealers out there who will try to get away with whatever they can...
