For those that wish to BASH Banks Go and start your own Thread,If you have a legitimate question I will try and answer it,Here are some Pictures,I had to install the Tuner on the High-Ram,The PRXB compressor is mounted on the Power distribution Box.

On Edit, this is a highly modified engine,( So don"t let the pictures intimate you) the new PowerPDA is much easier to install, although you still need to get to the Cam/Crank sensors.

Why did you have to mount the control box in the engine compartment? How does the PDA work? Does it add any power? I already have the six gun w/speedloder and was wondering what this PDA thing would improve on what I already have.

The New PDA mounts outside in the engine compartment, You can upgrade your current Tuner. This includes the Docking station and the retrofit, and Card,( will have to send it to Banks)I will answer all questions Later tonight or in the Morning. The New tuner has the ability to over ride stock Fueling. The % I don't know right now. I have Install Three of these today. Updating to the newest versions was done over the Internet.

i will be interested to know about how this went. Also any word on the shapeshifter turbo? and what about the "sidewinder" packages available? thanks

will the PDA increase the HP on the banks equiptment? If so by how much? also when you stacked your bddl do you know if that took your pressure over the "safety" limits? thanks again

I don't know much about Banks products but I think using a PDA as a display is a great idea. Can you change or customize what is displayed?

I have Not seen any Pressure Above 24,000psi with the PowerPDA and the T-dog stack,The PowerPDA give fueling adjustments plus shift De-fueling,Yes you can change the screen at will,It also audible warnings with icons.

It dose not display rail pressure. ( This would be a great update feature)The Tuner can be updated via PDA (No more sending it to Banks) Ye Ha. .

Yes, you can bypass parameters,Banks did not advertise numbers,I think this was a good decision. That way the Number Junkies can waste their time and resources.

The existing Six GunTuner for the Dodge and LB7 cannot be Upgraded to the PowerPDA. This means owners of the Six Gun for Both the LB7 Duramax and Dodge Isb will have to purchase the entire New PowerPDA Tuner. if you are an Existing owner contact us and I will try to help.

You mean to tell me that with all of Banks technology and knowhow that they can't make the Six GunTuner to be upgraded with the existing PowerPDA? :confused: This is why I don't own Banks anymore! :-{}

In defense of Banks, I don't think their engineers were planning on having a PDA way back in 2002 when they were working on the 3rd gen Six-Guns. It was a simple box with a six position switch. I'm sure they did not intend it to communicate to an advanced pocket PDA way back then.

That said, I'm surprised they did not make the PDA able to control the six levels if for some reason a customer wanted the PDA without all the extra features it has on the newer Six-Guns. I would have made it backwards-compatible, even if it did not have all the same features. At least you're not forcing someone to upgrade the entire kit at once.

For me, if I had an old one, and had to consider upgrading the entire package, I'd seriously look somewhere else to make sure I'm getting the best bang for the buck. With the A2 you even get GPS capability with a backup camera option.

Banks hard parts can't be beat. My Monster Exhaust and Technicooler are flat out awesome. Especially the cooler.

It isn't a stand alone box correct?

It helps make adjustments to existing Banks equipment...

Or am I wrong.

Yes the Six-Gun tuner for the Dodge and LB7 ,Cannot Be upgraded to the New PowerPDA. Hardware Changes are necessary and Both Dodge and LB7 Tuners are Not compatible. This was not do to Lack of effort From Banks, the PowerPDA is Light-years Ahead of any other manufacturer products,T&C has it own standards and we Test every Product we sell,The first test we conduct is complete power failure to the Unit,We require that the Vehicle start and Drive as stock with no effect found other than the Lost of power from the Tuner,We found that a No start condition and poor operation in Most. T&C Will NOT Beta test anyone"s product. If the manufacturer supplies the product and performs well we will offer it. We do not Put Priority on who has the higher HP rating, its never ending and a snare. The Best formula practice in the this Business is (Greater HP/TQ +safety = Cost).
