Hello all -
I've been generally happy w/my Banks Six-gun w/Speed loader. I purchased it right around 3K miles, and now have just over 24K with what I'd say is at least 99% approval rate.
The missing 1 % is this: During the cold part of winter, just about anything under 0 deg F and TOWING, the Banks box will throw the overboost code (3 red blinks, then 1 green), go into limp mode and return to stock. This was on setting 3. I can shut her down, restart and everything will be fine.
All I could account for it was that maybe, being w/in 1K feet of sea level, the air was too dense for the increased power. It never does this when the ambient temp is above 0 or so.
And, another kudo's to Banks: I installed a complete PowerPack on a 96 Ford Powerstroke that I owned for 8 years, once again intalling it around 3K miles, and was 100% happy. I never had transmission problems until I went with some other guys (no names) chip.
So, it just goes to show you that some of us have good luck, while others bad.
