Has anybody added a Banks ram air scoop (part # 42190) onto their truck to flow into the stock airbox? If yes, what steps were needed to accomplish this?

You need to start a new conversation. But to answer you question, 1-dont buy anything banks that guy only knows how to advertise and take your money. 2- your intake is already a cold air intake do a search and you will find lots of answers. Save your money and put it elsewhere

qwickyy, I split your post out to a new thread so that you would be more likely to get responses. For a different topic you want to be at the forum you want to post in and click on "Post New Thread" instead of replying to an existing thread. When something off topic is posted in a thread your much less likely to get a response because people won't be looking there to respond to your request.

A lot of guys have done a Home Depot cold air intake using 3" abs plumbed into the bottom of the airbox below the filter,if you do a search you will find design and pics.I looked at the banks scoop and looked at my truck-removed the passenger side driving light and plumbed from there, made a noticable diff. in EGTs and for me was worth doing.
