Peter, what's under the plastic cover? Injector controller? Glad to hear you are addressing it.

Here is a Euro ISBe, looks like the controller is mounted there on the side at the front. Maybe since our ISBes have the geartrain in the front there wasn't the room to mount it on the side. This isn't a very good picture but the only one I could find.

The "ugly" black cover on the top of then engine is the breather system. It allows the vapor from the engine to be returned to the intake system.

Vaughn,

To answer your earlier question, yes, the cylinder head does still have the “trough” style intake as a cast part of the head. We cut it off and drill and tap bolt holes for the Big Hoss manifold. As you can imagine, this will make it a pretty costly upgrade, which we are still working out the details on.

Wayne is correct about the black plastic cover, it is simply a decorative piece (or non-decorative as the case may be) to cover the crankcase breather assembly.

Sled Puller,

We have a lot of ideas about how we would like to race the truck, and sled pulling is one of them. I think we will be doing some road racing next, possibly the Silver State Classic, and we want to do drag racing as well, so the pulls might be further down the line.

Peter,

Again I compliment you and the team on your accomplishments!! I look forward to the further development and products.

Regarding sled pulling, I have noticed that competeing with a two wheel drive is a challenge. Not that Sled Puller would take advantage of anyone, but you may want to ask him to remove his front driveshaft when you meet ;) :D :D. Larry

Man!

You cats won't let me get away with ANYTHING!

Look, I'll even help them! Free advice!

They had better get a THIRD rear diff built to pull, because the ones they have custom built now will not hold at the pulling track!

Maybe Piers could help them out and show them how to launch a 2 wd?:D :D

Looking forward to seeing this truck compete next year. :)

With what Banks has accomplished here, I believe there is a certain ad in TDR that will have be changed.

The new Liner

PT: If you can comment at this time on the new Banks streamliner.

1,Are you going to run the Cummins Diesel? Or A twin turbo Gas motor?

2 Are you still going to run the 9" Ford rear end?In the pickup?

3 Did you use stock pistons or after market pistons

4 I hope to see both racer cars at Bonneville in 04

Yes I am a BNI member! (looky lu type)

Congrats on the new BNI record! GWD

I called a couple weeks ago about one, and they are'nt available yet and said they had no clue as to when it would be. Like everything else, I'll have to make my own.

Man that sucks. With that kind of flow potential and some really heavy fueling and twins, imagine what kind of power that could be realized !!! 700 hp with their setup, I'd bet you could take it well beyond that. Has anyone experimented with sheetmetal intakes? Cutting off the original plenum, and making new...

In the process now, i had PDR do a stage 3 port job, I used Ferrea special alloy valves. The same ones that top fuelers are using... . Head flows awesome. Intake chamber is milled off and working on it as we speak, it's been a real pain in the a$$, probably not even worth it, but we'll see.
