I have seen alot of info on this site regarding EZ Edge products, has anybody had good or bad experience with the Banks Six-Gun? I have a 03 dodge dually HO that I would like one of these products, but the Six-gun is about $200 more, so please respond with positive or negative experiences with either of these products.

A guy on another thread said he only gained 15hp with the 6 gun. Thier advertised increases are with intake, exhaust, etc. I personally would try the EZ.

I think the 6 gun has a bungh more connections and provides benefits yo might not need with a 6 speed like defueling for TC lockup. I have always had good experience with Edge products, two plug ins and away you go.

EZ! Ken Imler in sacramento dynoed the EZ and Six Gun on the same truck. Max gain from baseline with EZ was 72 I think. The Six gun tested around 43. This was when the Six Gun first came out on a SO 235 hp truck and dont know how modified it was. Plus the EZ has been around longer and its proven and easy to hook up. The post is in here somewhere.

don't have a direct experience with the EZ product, but do have real world experience with the Banks Six-Gun, speed loader and Monster Exhaust, all of which are installed on my '03 SO (non-CA) CTD.

Details of dyno pulls before and after can be found at this link - https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=96535

Net "Banks" difference:

HP - +95. 5

TQ - +241. 5

I rationalized the "extra" few hundred dollars to get the transmission slippage de-fueling against the cost of a bad boy transmission upgrade which appears to be in the $3500 - $5000 range.

So far, so good!

"Six-Gun" with "Speed Loader" = 49 HP 120 TQ gain. Tested on a '04 305 auto. DynoJet 248, sea level.

Advertised gain was 126 HP and 290 TQ.

Dismal at best.

The ez box is a great box!I gained 88 hp on the dyno setting was on #6,I did some exhaust work and dyno'd 376 hp at maymadness. The reason i stayed away from the banks system was you had to hack into wiring where as the ez box was unplug/plug and go. Very simple and easy!!
