Interesting... ... . but makes me wonder how in the world would it know the difference between the trannie actually slipping or a transmission in a normal non-lockup situation --- or --- maybe it doesn't care --- which might be a good thing as it would slightly de-fuel intill full lock up accurs thus easier on the trans. .

The Banks box connects to the transmission in order to monitor whether or not the TC is locked. If so, the box will defuel once it detects slippage.

Got it - makes good sence to protect the auto.

Now if I were only an electrician wait a minute I be one of those lectricians I guess i'm in

The speed loader pushes the psi to almost 27000 or so Im told. Probably close to what the ez pushes on level six.

one other item for transmission protection: the Banks connects to the CAN bus and knows the onset of TC lockup. It the de-fuels during the lock-up event itself to avoid a very hard lockup.

any of you guys have dyno data for a 305 HP engine? Banks will not release their test data

Well,

after reading many posts and then waiting for my head to stop spinning over all the different opinions i decided to go with the banks box. should get it in a few days. I'm gonna hunt down a dyno and find out just how much it added on a completely stock truck with out the "airflow" improvements"

I got the Banks box put in gona put the speedloader on here in the next day or so. So far so good I am quite pleased I can kill a BMW now (325) in the upper ranges well at least keep up with him. I'm taking it to the drag strip this weekend and I'll see what numbers she runs.

I have the Six Gun and Speed Loader on my truck now. It pulls good from about 2k rpm up, but is poor below 2k rpm. I have a TST box on order. I will install it in place of the Banks Box and try it. I will keep the one that works better for me and sell the other. I am not interested in the dyno numbers; I just care about its road manners. Most of my driving is empty and on flat roads at sea level. Several times a year we go to Colorado and tow a heavy trailer so I need something that will work at the extremes.

your gonna like that torque 0-9 setting on the TST, set power to 1 which is timming on only still a gain somewhere around 19 hp to more depending on how truck is modified, I pull some ball hitch trailers up to 10,000 and run around on 1/3 very nice for my set up. I have one of the lastest TST boxes 3 wks no codes ususally keep TTPM on 4. hope this helps

More info....please

Don T: What do you mean by "poor under 2K"..... is this in reference to stock (ie. , worse than stock power uner 2K?).

BTW: Just got my new 4Wheel Parts Magazine and saw an ad for the Six-Gun. They have a new digital Control Pad that mounts in a guage cup. It gives digital read out of EGT, boost, etc. But the ad only stated that it was for the 97-03 Fords. Not sure, but I'd think a control pad/dislplay ought to be appicable to all vehicles, regardless of the make????

What I mean by "poor" is that I don't think it has any more power than stock until it gets close to 2k rpm. From there on I am happy with the power.
