Well, its obvious from your post, you want something reliable, safe and something that still has the ability to make good power. I am in the same boat as you. I didnt find my money in the street don't need to be a guinea pig for products that have not even been out a month yet. Edge has the best customer service in my opinion. They make good products and it might be worth it to wait a little until the juice comes out to see how they all stack up against eachother. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but with the 6 gun, you have to tap into wires etc which may cause the dealer to cry foul on warranty work. Also the banks 6 gun from what I understand, raises rail pressure. Before you do any bombing, take your truck to the dealer and tell them you have ***tload of problems and get them to do as much warrant work as possible before you possibly become your own warranty station. Tell them the balljoints are loose, your alternator bracket is cracked, the truck steers to the right, you have a bad vibration, your powersteering hose leaks, your rear end whines etc etc
Edge has the best customer service, lol. Yea right, call them and ask ANY question about the new juice, and tell me about service. Lip service is about it. Just curious, when you say wait a little on the edge, what do you consider a "little"?

Talk about a rear end whine... ... ... ... . ;) ;) ;) ;)

My money is on Banks for reliability. Had the whole shootin' match on my F250 PS, it needed it. 5 years, and not a single banks problem. Just lots of Ford problems.

But, given the reputation the DC dealers have for denying warranty, the box I put on this truck will need to be undetectable when removed, no taps.

I have called Banks and Edge. Neither has an 04. 5 box out yet.

Nice choice of color on your rig, mines identical except for the 2 extra wheels!!!

I need the training wheels or I tip over all the time ;)

But any way I have never got any codes with the Edge EZ, I have never even seen a post of any one with a code and the EZ. The only problems I have seen with the EZ is a couple of ruff idles, but Edge just replaced the box no problem.

It sounds like you want what I do, something not too radical that you can use with out buring the truck up. And I have to say that I have been real happy with the EZ, I have grossed 31,000# and rolled down the road easy. I have been waiting for the Juice because I think I want to try it. The more I see with the TST product and needing bigger turbos and stuff for the extra power I am having second thoughs about it, I don't want to create problems and really don't "NEED" any more power.

It sounds like Banks may have a good product that falls inbetween the EZ and Juice as far as power goes. The one good thing that the EZ would have on banks is that their are only 2 connection, and it can be unpluged and put back to stock in minutes. The Banks from what I understand has you tapping into wires. The only thing on the EZ would be swaping the boost elbow back for the stock one, but you are going to have that with the Banks also I would think.

Also the EZ puts the clutch right at its limit, with the Banks I would think a better clutch is going to have to go in.

Still poundering the Juice

:) just messing with ya, seriously has edge said when?

Of course they've said when: "in two months"! I don't know how you could have missed it, they've been saying it since Jan 03! ;) :D

But seriously though, I've had the EZ installed in my '03 since before Christmas, 2002--well over 30,000 miles--and it's never thrown any codes.

I've had it off, and the TST on, since last Saturday. I thought I'd gotten away with a clean install, but did come up with a crankshaft position error code Tuesday morning. I cleared it, and it hasn't recurred (yet). Mark (at TST) tells me he thinks he's got the software fix for it--it will involve reflashing the boxes when it's ready to roll out to us consumers.

FDavid

your exactlly right i'm intersted in something reliable and not considering "bombing to the max. " just wondering about opinions on the six-gun. it's amazing how this forum can be so non-biased, when i know everyone has their personal favorites.

the problems with the EZ arent code related but fuel pressure related (O ring failures, rail leaks)

there may be some debate whether the EZ with the raised fuel pressure caused the problems but certainly didnt help it.

and as far as comparing to the Juice

well

there is no such product on the market to compare to as of yet so anything is pure speculation at this point

you know what happens when you ass/u/me

I hear that, mine is already off and ready to ship back for the reflash, i hope it is good, the crankshaft thing will be nice to have fixed...

PS. i took the truck around the block with the TST off, yuck! i wondered if i left off a few cylinders plugs? it was that slow!

That wouldnt be a problem except I dont have a digital camera or scanner. heck the computer Im on at the moment is a 166!!!The instruction manual has very good pics though. Ill see what I can do. Maybe I can fax the manual to someone who has a scanner then they could post it.

this is right off TST's website -

---------------------------------------------------

The TST POWERMAXCR™ is available for the new Cummins® Common Rail fuel system. Adding up to 150HP and 500 Ft Lb Tq at the rear wheels. The TST POWERMAXCR™ is available with built in digital gauges as the current TST POWERMAX™ Units. The power is gained by adjusting pulse duration and advancing timing with stock exhaust, turbos, and air filter. The POWERMAXCR™ will work on the 03-04. 5 Cummins® Common Rail engines (even the new 325HP 600TQ engine)

WOW - already got the "600" chipped up

600 boxes

tomeygun,

You are right! The TST unit claims it wil work. The first thing I thought of when I read the literature was: Are they nuts????

500 ADDITIONAL lb/ft, with no other changes to air flow in or out?

Imaging ADDING more torque than the doodlemax has from the factory:--) :--) :--)

My biggest problem with the TST system would that if I installed it, I would want to at LEAST try it with all the knobs turned to MAX... ... ... ... ... ... ... .

Does anyone know if it limits itself based on EGT or any other parameter? It has an EGT read out, so it knows what the temp is.
