I am planning on putting on the Banks Six Gun kit and am curious about the speedloader. I am already running a EGT gauge, will the speedloader work off the same probe? Do I loose my current gauge if I install the speedloader. I'm not really to concerned about the few extra HP the speedloader gives you, but the automatic monitoring of the EGT's is a nice feature.

Thanks, Tim

04. 5, 4x4, 6 sp, 3. 73's, PacBrake (gotta love it!!), stock exhaust - whats that??

i dont think you could wire two gauges into one probe, but it may be possible... .

here is a thought on what i do know though, why not wire the Six guns into a pre turbo sensor and the current gauge youhave now as a post turbo sensor? some like both, others like one or the other. i say you can never know too much about what is going on with your truck, but you can have to much info at one time... just depends on how cluttered you like it i guess.

GRant

I have my Isspro pyro monitoring the three front cylinders, my TST pyro is monitoring the three rear cylinders. At cruise they're usually within 25 degrees or so. I will be able to tell if I'm having injector issues if one is way off the other.

The speed loader comes with a 2 wire lead to go to the Banks EGT sensor, and the speed loader will not function unless it is installed. Hope this helps!

I'd put the banks probe post turbo and your existing one pre turbo. That way The banks system will not be able to de-fuel from over EGT's. You will be in charge of max EGT's with the other probe. Just be careful not to melt the engine down!

ehh, why not use a safety feature that is built in for the very reason? makes sense to do it backwards of what you list... .

this way if a problem occures then banks could be held responsible... . that might take a while, but still doable

grant

Banks isn't going to take reponsibility if you fry a motor. No how, no way. When I was running a 6gun w/speedloader the truck felt like it would defuel (pull hard then slack off, then pull hard again) even though the banks guage showed temps well below 1300deg.
