Green Diesel Engineering. Check them out on the web.

I have experience with them through my CRD Liberty. I have the Hot tune and the improvements are many. More power and fuel economy are just the two you notice right away. Other improvements are soot reduction and elimination of pesky items like FCV and EGR.

As far as the Ecodiesel, I can't speak first hand but the guys I know running it are claiming 2-4 mpg increase and less regens.

If I remember right, but I'm well over 50 and can be wrong, Banks is based in California and he knows there is big money there, I bet money he's carb approved. You can't f@rt in Calif without a smog approved sticker. But I have bought two systems from Banks in the past. The most costly was their tuner and I personally feel it was junk. It was installed by pro's and they tested it to make sure it preformed as advertised. But they I used it, I found over time it was better when I shut it off and went stock. There will have to be some kind of major change at Banks before I go back. It cost to much for getting nothing in my eyes.

Being an ECM exchange what happens when smog comes up? Mail it back?

Ask GDE, I don't own an Ecodiesel. For the fortunate among us, we don't have to deal with BS smog tests. I know for a fact that the GDE tunes on the Liberty CRD's pass smog even with all the egr stuff disabled. They have been able to program for soot reduction...............hmmmmmmm maybe these guys work for VW? Hahahahahahahahaha
