I see you guys doing this with the "plastic" coolers. Is there as great of an advantage with the '03, or is it a plastic/metal issue?

To be honest if mine wasn't plastic I probably would not have changed it. There are many issues with the factory plastic intercoolers which have been discussed in the past. I personally know someone who was towing a trailer with a bone stock 2005 and his plastic intercooler blew. Dodge covered it and replaced it with a metal one. Go figure. In 2006 Dodge went back to metal intercoolers. Go figure again

I am simply fixing a problem before it bites me in the #%!

Herman, I just installed my Banks Tecnicooler about 2 weeks ago and was amazed at the difference and new found piece of mind with the Banks as compared to stock... It is a quality product...

I did have the hood latch make contact and put a small dent in the cooler... Not too bad though...

Rubbing spots

Check your bumper brackets, I didn't like the clearence between the bottom of the intercooler and the brackets. Took frt bumper off and notched out.

Yeh it is a real nice product. I didn't have the hood latch problem, I guess I got lucky.
