No it doesn't. The reason I am going that route is that the folks at BD are more than happy to give me the specs on the intercooler as well as performance data. Banks performance data is so tightly held that the tech guys don't even know if they have any. I wonder which intercooler I want on my truck?

I trust facts. the Banks is still a great kit for the price, I just don't have any hard numbers for performance.

You will have a Hard Time Convincing that Extruded Tubes are More efficient then Turbolators, Look How Banks End Tanks are so Well fabricated to the Core. I have Seen Banks CACs Drop IAT from 213* to 72 ambient @ idle fan dis-engage in 38 second after a hard Pull of 20,000 Trailer WT for 1/2 Mile at WOT,Max EGT 1368, Max Boost 41Psi. Drop EGTs 668* @ Idle to 320* in 2 minutes,On My 2003 setup. If you don"t test the products you sell How will you know the the specification's, relied on the manufacturers Data!! Any one seen a 2x4 Lately.

Wow, this got off topic. Back to the original post, I don't have the banks intercooler but I love the BD one I installed. It is a lot bigger than the banks one and man does it flow some air. An aftermarket intercooler is a must when getting into the high hp ranges.

I'm not disputing what you are saying here, but I don't know how the BD could be physically bigger than the Banks unit. Anything bigger seems like it would present clearance issues. There is just barely room for the Banks unit in my truck.

I haven't calculated the mpg on paper yet, but since installing the Technicooler and the AFE stage II air filter, the computer is showing a definite increase in mpg.

What I meant by bigger is, it is longer length wise. And yes, BD seemed to squeeze every possible inch of space available with this thing. There is literaly no room between the AC condensor and the front grill. It's that close. I had the guys at Floor It Diesel install it when they did my Cp3 and injectors last week, and they even stated that the BD intercooler was a lot bigger than the banks one. I have to take there word on it. I love it, and with my other mods I had done, I have already seen a 100-150 drop in egt's while pulling my trailer. My turbo also seems to cool a ton quicker. I love it!

I am sure either unit will have their own advantages. The BD unit seems to be a little taller than the Banks, (2"), but the Banks seems to have bigger inlet and outlet tubes, as well as the larger intake. There is no doubt that the increased air flow will be beneficial in cooling and in efficiency.
