To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

Thanks, TDR Staff

Interesting observation -

what makes a TC 89,91 or 93%?

As I recall, we have some representatives of Banks that are members of TDR. Perhaps one or more of them will reply with more information.

Lets see now the faster he goes the better the mileage - at some point he will have to slow down to keep his tank from over flowing:D. I think what he is smoking ain't coming from his tires!;) I too run Banks and I am happy with both performance and mileage but I know my numbers are real world because I have tracked every drop of fuel for the 138,000 miles on my '93.

Happy Trails

On my own personal Ford, and yes i do also have a ford , my fuel mileage indicator when i first got the truck bone stock i was getting 17. 8 miles per gallon according to my on board mileage computer and it was accurate.

Since adding a chip , a tc and other trans mods it now reads 26. 7 mpg. Now i know that is not my true mileage as my weekly fuel bill tells me my fuel economy went down not up. Right now i know it is actually getting 16. 5 since the mods but you can see how the mileage indicator can be mis-leading.

I'm sure Banks is fully aware that the onboard mileage indicators are no longer accurate after power enhancements.

Why did they chose to leave it on? Could it be for marketing reasons? any how they covered their azz by adding a disclaimer on the bottom of it.

Mmm, got to love the smell of money dont you?(lol)

Shows what you guys know about fool mileage !!! Ok, this should explain it in simple terms...

Under the proper conditions such as pump timing, injector pop-off pressures, fuel pressure climb rates, high CFM air flow, converter deficiencies AND which side of your mouth you hang your tongue out you can create a spacial/time/dimensioal rift which folds space (equates to distance) in on itself. Now if you do this just right you can actually bring the end of the distance (in this case miles) closer to the beginning of the distance. Thus while you will have travelled 31 miles in flat space, you will have only travelled 30 feet in curved space. ( I'm not even going to get into square space which is a whole different medication issue) Hence the ability to achieve the stated results. Ok, I admit it is difficult to duplicate without proper training and the right medication BUT it is possible to do it.

Ok, got it??? Geez... . the things ya gotta do. . Now, where did I leave my prescription pad.....

;) ;) ;)

Just for fun. . Bob

Isn't it Gale Banks "Engineering"?

If that is right, my truck must be really screwed-up, a) I can't do 90 b) at 80 it does more then sip fuel c) Well lets raise the speed limit so every one can have better fuel mileage.

We all know those numbers aren't right but it reminds me that my 85 Maxima got better mileage at 90mph (29mpg) than at 70mph(27mpg). A mechanic said it was because the computer leaned the mixture at higher RPMs.

 30MPG at 90+??? My 2. 5L '99 Stratus only gives me 33 at 80.

I outta tuck one of these 5. 9 CTDs under the hood of my Stratus - think of the mileage I'll be getting then - plus the added pleasure of getting to listen to that sweet diesel sound in it. Of course, I'll have to make a few modifications - turn the CTD sideways so it will fit between the wheel wells, increase the width of the wheel wells, add some major ballast to the trunk, :D :D :D

90MPH!! 30MPG?? How many miles did he drive/fly at 90 to get an average??

Either:

a. ) Hes a menace to society driving numerous miles at 90.

b. ) He's using the totally inaccurate mileage computer, in which he's still a menace to society because anyone dumb enough to look up at that thing while driving 90 is a baaaad thing to have on public roads.

-Banks isn't doing their reputation any favor by posting this junk on their website.

Hey Wayne,

If you mounted the engine transversed then you could have one wheel drive by mounting one of the front wheels on the end of the crank:D :D

However, you would need to be pointing in the wanted direction of travel when you turned the key;)

Maybe Banks is feeling threatened with the outrageous (not truthful) claims by Dr. Performance and needed top Dr. Performance claims. Does this mean Banks and Dr. Performance are duking it out in their attempts to be the KING of BULLSH!T????

Also, where are the Banks defenders on this post? Surely some of the Banks folks have read this and have not replied yet. I wonder why that is the case??????

Just wondering.....
