Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) banks turbo

I needa turbo and have found a banks "quick spool" which from what I see consists of a larger exhaust housing and a big head actuator and possibly a different compressor wheel. I can get it for a pretty good price and I am wondering if anyone has used one or has any feed back on it. would it be safe for a little more boost than a stock hy or hx? thanks. Dan

It won't fit an HY. It is only the exhaust housing, nothing to do with the compressor. It will lower your EGT's 75 degrees or so and you will pick up 10-15 HP. It is not a significant upgrade but some people do not need much.

sorry its actually an hx35 with the housing and wastegate actuator, it would be a direct replacement turbo

If you have a stock HY35 it might be worth the upgrade if the price is reasonable.

the price is good and its only been run for a year. I dont have a big budget but would like some upgrade. at least to last till its paid off and I can go nuts. all i could find though was psd info. thats where it waysthe kit comes with a compressor wheel. thanks again
