Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) -Banks wastgate or a BD wastegate...???

-well looks like my wastgate is bleeding air slightly when apply air to it, strokes fine and returns fine..... I assume there not supposed to bleed from the bellows the manual does not say and I googled for a hour found every question under the sun on wastegates but nothing on the passing air question or not ... ... ... .



so if a guy changes this out what's the better unit a Banks Bighead or the BD unit??? or do I go after a stock replacement?

I ran the Banks actuator for a few years on my 12 valve till I went with a bigger turbo. It is still working fine on another 12 valve to this day working fineI have no experience with the BD unit

If you go with the oem go with the 215 HP version

It definitly shouldn't leak.

I went with the BD unit, they have a new adjustable rod on them, so you can make adjustments without unhooking the rod.
