Banned From The Deisel Stop

All I did on the deisel stop website was post a topic that said simply BUY A DODGE. And I got banned everybody was complaining about there Ford so I was just trying to help by telling them where to go get a better truck and they didn't like it I guess.

If someone was asking for help on a problem here and your solution was to get a Ford it wouldn't go over very well either.

You wouldn't get banned, that seems pretty severe, but would get slammed so badly by other members that you may wish you were.

Remember it's sometimes hard to tell when a person is just kidding over the internet.

Also take into consideration that some of those guys spent a ton of money on a lemon, could easily lead to a short fuse.

I was doing a search for pistons and came across this thread at ford-trucks.com. I'm glad we don't have the webmaster (or equivilent) bashing people, then locking the thread calling the Dodge a "second rate truck". It's from Feb. and already they were proclaiming the 6. 0L the king of power because Ford rates it 20hp and 5 lb/ft higher than the Cummins. Get them on a dyno I say. Oh yeah it's been done.



Posts like that get my blood boiling. Time to go take my pills.

You were trolling. Its not that funny to make fun of a victim of a train wreck. Some of those guys got it bad. So I dont say nuthin bad. Its bout as funny as a poke in the eye when you are the one out 40k and your truck runs sometimes.



I like fords. They make a good truck. I may own one someday. I think if they get that powerhouse figured out(im somewhat doubtful that they will ever get the original production units dialed in) that thing is gonna friggin rock. A 6. 0 with a box will eat over 3/4 of the uprated dodges. That is a major accomplishment. Plus ford finally got off their butts and built a good transmission. Whodathunkit. Now we see if the 48 is up to the job.



The new injection system of the cummins may overcome this power deficit created by the new 6. 0.



I caught one on the torqueshift I originally missed. Check this out. Its a three speed with two overdrive units(planetary gearsets). Ours is a three speed with one overdrive unit. Dodge could do the same for us. 5 speeds would help split the shifts a little better. Cant complain about an extra gear.

Your right it is not a good idea to make fun of someone that got caught up in a large company like Fords hype and bs. Though people you feel sorry for. But a lot of these guys are buying the 6. 0 after they find out about the problems. Also some are even getting new ones after ford buys their old one back. Hard not to make fun of them. The definition of crazy is doing the same thing that does not work over and over again with hopes that it will finally work. Sounds like some of the miss guided on the ford site.

It would be a whole lot easier to feel sorry for them (they really are a pathetic bunch) if they didn't constantly make false claims of problems with Dodge Cummins trucks to try to take the focus off of the Ford 6. 0 problems. Or they try to justify their problems by insisting that "all first year production models have teething problems. " We're not having teething problems. Misery loves company and they can't stand that our trucks aren't having the problems they're having.

And the Ford 5spd automatic? It's just another Ford transmission with an extra low gear. Time will tell.

You do have a good point. I cant argue with solid logic like that. I would not buy one if I knew it might be screwed up.

Seems to be true with a bunch of them. We seem to be that way about the engine, but that seems to be logical based on the attributes of the CTD.
