It's actually some very entertaining reading over there in fact it is down right funny. Maybe pathetic is the word I can't believe some of them are in buyback negotiations and in the next sentence they are talking about there next PSD if I was in buyback neg. with Dodge the last thing I would buy is another Dodge. I hope I never have to Eat those words but I'm very happy with my 97 2500 with 130,000 miles to date and no problems knock on wood.

There was one guy over there that had Ford buyback his first truck at around 25-3500 miles. His second truck is at 1500 miles, and has ONLY been back to the dealer 3 TIMES for reflashes and what not. Said it was the best truck he has had yet. It hasn't even gotten past the mileage of his last one yet. On his first one, he had leaking injectors that ruined the motor from fuel delution and many other electronics problems.

As the saying goes- Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

If I were him, I would've gone back to the 7. 3L or some other brand, 'til they got the bugs worked out. Assuming I'd be crazy enough to want to be the guniea pig on a new powertrain.

That was part of my decision for buying the 02 CTD. Excluding my love of the 94-02 classic body style and the sound of the 94-02 CTD, I did not want to be the buyer of a first year production truck. Kind of asking for trouble. Plus I wanted a truck. It seems like all of the manufactures are trying to make trucks more car like. JMHO

C'mon guys, give 'em a break. To a man, every single Ford PSD owner I ever met, was an all-around great guy. Many are excellent mechanics. The 6. 0 is NOT the wholesale P. O. S. a lot of people claim it is. They do have problems, they're working them out and they're lucky to have a website to communicate with each other just as we're lucky to have the TDR. The Cummins/Dodge isn't trouble free, ya know... :D If you had the numbers available for crunching, you'd probably see there's quite a few 6. 0 PSD's doing great.

Someone that hauled in some 10# weaner pigs for my uncle, and he had a 6. 0L in his truck. His only complaint was that the engine didn't make any power 'til around 17-1900RPMs. Sounds like he is interested in a new 3G.

Of the 2 Fords that I have owned, my '82 was the best one, even though it was a gasser (400M-V8). Fewer problems. Kinda wish I had kept it and sold the one I have now (even though it needed a new body). Oh well.

yea i got kicked off of the ford truck world site myself... and i didnt even have a post yet! I have always been a dodge fan and when the new ford 6. 0 came out I honestly gave it a look... but even looking at the way MOST (not all) of the ford owners are I didnt want nothing to do with them... the dodge people are about the most level headed and mature about things... you guys ROCK!! I will soon be purchasing an 04 cummins and ill never look back, i know its the best truck ever. :D
