Banned on Diesel Truck Resource

I was recently banned on Diesel Truck Resource this is a message for all and other vendors. DTR claims that I have been soliciting business over PM's which is untrue. If someone ask for me I send them a PM or if someone sent me a PM I reply. So here is the real reason I was banned Larry Ellis and Jack Thorpe the owners of the site have been trying to sell the new Quadzilla xzillaraiders on there site and everyone has been buying them from me instead so Larry came up with this to remove me from his site and take the business from me. I'm sorry to say it has come to me posting this for I will miss visting the site and all the members. DTR members get a special discount now on the new Xzillaraiders from here on out.

based on other reports i have read, i am not surprised. being a satisfied customer of yours, it makes no sense that you are banned now. the way i found you though, was on THIS site.



DTR is a free site after all and i guess they can do what they want. i don't spend more than 1/2 hour per month over there. i would much rather be here.



my opinion is that your banner ad investment is much better spent here at the TDR.

I'm over there on occasion, I have noticed how uptight they get with price and vendor issues. ALL of these forums are not as "open" for discussion to all things beneficial to their subscribers. The mighty dollar is behind the scenes, and forums are a business. If you threaten that- you're gone. . I think we lose sight of this at times, and it's easy to forget that forums are here for other reasons besides the open, free, exchange of information even if it is to the benefit of most.

I have broke in numerious times and have gotten most of my friends rescued and there here on TDR now .

That is my plan that site is the most unproffesional group of individuals I have ever done business with. Larry Ellis has flashed on me like a bi polar three year old on more than one occasion I just want to be sure everyone knows what kind of operation they run and believe me if you knew how much I beat their prices before try me now :-laf



Besides how to do you get tech support with some online store with nobody to talk to that is the main reason people would buy from me and not them.

The TDR has better moderators. More even handed. The DTR is still way above TDS. With TDS, you sure get what you pay for. They don't like us Dodge boys much. Even if you own a Ford also.

That sounds about right. He deemed my signature that simply stated my position with DHRA (co-founder and CIO) as 'advertising' and deleted it. Unless there's something really important to read on that site, I don't go there any more.

Whoa, not big money there, Not like doing big parts for profit... . but hey, they said I was selling on the Posts... Not! Did the classifieds like I was supposed to... Not good enough,... they are not "USED"..... and I am doing a buisness..... Uh, Duhhh!! Thats what clessifieds are for... .



Geez, I Maybe make a few hundred dollars a season for the winter fronts and a few for the mudflaps... . Classifieds are there to sell stuff so I dont EVER go there anymore... . Told them that to, that they will NEVER see my screen-name log on ever again and I told them I would discourage others to go there as well.



What a wrong way to go about doing a site... . all they want is the vendors to put up ads so they can get rich...

#1 first thing is JOIN TDR along with my opinions of DTR as a whole.



I have alot of Anti-DTR stuff made to go on my site but I havent posted it ... . I try to keep everyone happy.



Many DTR'ers contact me wanting me to start a thread on TDR ... ... NOOO!!!!!!!!



The way I see it to this day TDR has paid for its self for about the next 7 years .

Sounds like some of the Ford sites. They get awful touchy over there... just another reason TDR is still the best, IMHO.

Aside from being over moderated- they are really 2 weeks ago when it comes to new products- You didn't hear of the catcher ECM over there until it was here for about 2 weeks. There is no competiton forum- so none of the heavy hitters weigh in over there- it is a big e-store that just happens to have forums.

I got banned from there a while back, and posted something on here, then some moderator chimed in, and said that I too was advertising by posting a link to Oilburners... Big deal, no big thing, right? Well they didnt think so, and I cannot even go to the website, otherwise it just shows a screen saying I am not authorized to log on to the site. What junk! Oh well, I love the TDR, and it has more than paid for itself!



I keep a low profile on TDS. . Do that, and you have nothing to worry about. I am sure there are some people on there who dont like us Dodge guys, but to each their own.



It is a shame that money and greed gets in the way of running a good website, such as the DTR, but I guess that's how it happens sometime-- What can you do?

I used to love getting on TDS and just giving some of the die-hards a hard time. . I think the mods let it go there because if you were a Dodge guy, it was like swimming with sharks and they liked to watch. There are 3 or 4 guys over there that hate Dodge owners more than Bin Laden.



Once they got rid of the "general" and "other" sections, there was little need to be there. I did find it interesting to go to the 6. 0 forum and see post after post of, "engine blew at 2,000 miles", "transmission gone at 252 miles", "are oil leaks normal on new truck?", "new 05 died on the way home" and my personal favorite-" Ford bought back my 04 and I bought this AWESOME 05 SD!!" That place is troll heaven. :-laf

Let me first say I have dealt with kyle on my Quadzilla Xzillaraider box he gave me one hell of a price on my box,very good guy to deal with,nothing but good things to say about Mr. Kyle Graham from me. Maybe The DTR has something to hide,and should be ashamed of this treatment to there vendors. coobie
