barb fittings

I"m having trouble pushing the barb fittings on 1/2 inch hose for the airdog. I"ve tried putting motor oil but have not been able to push them on flush to the hose. Any hints to help me out please.

I have used silcone spray to get them to slip on.

Warm up the hose with hot water to soften them a bit.

I've used hot water and also dishwashing liquid soap for tight connections.

i use pushloc fittings at work and they all seem to go in well. i usually put the fitting into the hose as far as i can get it by hand, then press it against a wall or work bench with the fitting against the wall/bench and both hands on the hose and push until the hose butts up against the collar on the fitting. . they go on like that pretty good even dry. .

Ideas I have done warm hose up usually on a hot day in sun. I have used spray, oil, petr jelly even used a heat gun new hose pending can be stiff some aren't as bad. you could talk to Vulcan compound turbo components, FireBall injectors, DrawStraw™, Big Line Kits, VP silicone boot kits, gauge installation components, metric adapters & fittings, FASS, Quadzilla, Edge,AirDog, DTT Trans, ISSPRO, HTT Turbo, AFE, Veg pumps,  brackets, they work with this stuff all the time different type of fittings they have a ton of fittings and lock style ones. good luck
